Denial follows press reports of £1bn private equity offer

Home repair and insurance firm HomeServe has denied press reports that it had been approached by private equity bidders.

“HomeServe wishes to clarify that it has not, nor is currently, engaged in any discussions which could lead to a possible offer for the company,” HomeServe said in a stock exchange announcement.

The Telegraph reported that HomeServe’s board had turned down approaches from private equity buy-out firms Cinven, KKR and Apax.
