Homeserve has today announced that it has pulled out of talks to buy specialist warranty and electrical appliance insurer Domestic & General Group.
On the 21 May 2007, Homeserve said that it had approached the group with a view to entering into discussions about a potential offer.
However the group said in announcement to the stock exchange this morning:: “Following a period of negotiation, Homeserve has decided not to pursue an offer for D&G and has accordingly withdrawn from the process.”
A statement from Domestic and General said: “The Board of Domestic & General remains confident that significant value can be realised for shareholders through a premium offer or as an independent Group.”
