Norwich Union Healthcare has put an increased hospital list option on its private medical policy Fair + Square, making it available to more people in the UK.
The existing product provides access to 119 private hospitals but the new expanded option, called Fair + Square Hospital Plus, offers almost 200 hospitals. The existing Fair + Square will remain available at a cheaper price than the Hospital Plus product.
Customers who decide to use the NHS rather than a private hospital receive £500 for the first night in hospital and £250 for subsequent nights, and £250 a day for day-patient treatment.
Business development head Carolyn Derrington said: “Fair + Square is very successful with the existing hospital network, but we have many more enquirers looking for the choice in healthcare treatment.”
