HEALTHCARE cash plan provider HSA has launched a scheme designed for Ireland.
A health cash plan offers reimbursements towards a range of every day medical costs.
The Hampshire-based mutual's new product helps cover prescription fees and offers a benefit towards allergy testing.
Asthma, caused by allergies, is widespread in Ireland and affects one in seven Irish children and one in 20 adults.
HSA's national manager for Ireland, John O'Farrell, said: "Our product provides a wide range of valuable benefits including the introduction of helping pay towards the cost of prescription charges, which has never been done before by a cash plan provider in Ireland."
Cash plan benefits can include cover for dentistry and eye check-ups, hospitalisation, physiotherapy and maternity.
