HSBC Insurance Brokers (HSBC IB) is to expand its online trading platform for brokers, with three product launches during January.

HSBC IB said it had added a full cycle contractors combined product to the platform yesterday. It had the capacity to place £10m in Lloyd's over the next 12 months.

A leisure product, underwritten through HSBC's wholesale facility Spectrum, is to be added next week. The first Spectrum leisure product will be for caravans, with a full leisure range to follow.

In addition, HSBC said it would add a range of Spectrum Xbroker products to the platform, designed for smaller commercial risks.

Employers' and public liability, goods in transit, retailers specialist shop cover and tools cover will be available initially, but further products were in development, said the company.

Platform 24 currently has vehicle rescue, fleet, motor trade, non-standard motor, and non-standard motorcycle policies available.
