Hurricane Dennis caused an estimated $900m in insured property damage, the US-based Insurance Services Office (ISO) property claims service unit has announced.

Florida, where Dennis made landfall on 10 July, suffered the largest losses, with estimated insured damage at $640m.

Alabama was hit with an estimated $115m in insured property damage, Georgia $85m, and Mississippi $60m.

ISO estimates that Dennis will generate slightly more than 126,000 property claims.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
