Goshawk has reported a loss of $500,000 at its interim results for the six months ending 30 June 2005.

The loss comes after the company reported a $9.2m profit for the same period in 2004.

Goshawk said profits had been negatively impacted by business interruption losses arising from hurricane Ivan which hit the US offshore marine markets.

The insurer also reported a fall in operating profits from $8m to $4.7m.

It put early estimates for hurricane Katrina losses between $25m and $30m.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
