Candidates for Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Life Insurance Association (LIA) exams are to be offered a day's training day to help them develop studying techniques. "Managing Your Business Brain", to be held in the Insurance Hall, London on March 7, will cover mind mapping and creative thinking. Cost is £155 for LIA and CII members, and £195 for non-members. Rover backs Audatex
Rover Cars has recommended Audatex computerised estimating system to its approved bodyshop network. Rover Approved Network dealer principals and bodyshop managers are urged to consider AudaWorkstation when replacing or investing in a system.

Countrywide roadshow
Countrywide, the marketing arm for Misys users, is holding a roadshow for its members on February 22. The event will cover the broker market and includes guest speaker the journalist Andrew Neil and representatives from Tesco and Virgin Atlantic.

Continental in name change
Continental Reinsurance Managers, the run-off managers of CNA in Europe, has changed its name to Global Resource Managers as part of its plan to broaden the services it supplies outside the CNA group. The services are provided under the banner of CNA GRM.

New members at CE&B
Loss adjuster Cunningham Ellis & Buckle (CE&B) has appointed seven new directors to the board and also appointed a four-strong executive management committee to oversee operations. The four are chief executive Gerry Loughney, finance director John Jenner, personal lines director Phil McNeilage and commercial lines director Gary Chambers. Chairman Andrew Lund has stepped down as planned following completion of the integration of Cunningham and Ellis & Buckle.

ARTwork new Lloyd's title
Lloyd's has launched a journal covering technical, educational and regulatory issues in the Alternative Risk Transfer market. Initially published quarterly, ARTwork's first edition focuses on insurance in transaction financing, insurance linked securities and multi-year policies at Lloyd's.

Crawford in Liverpool move
Loss adjuster Crawford & Company has relocated its healthcare division from Milton Keynes to the company's Liverpool service centre. Gordon Cameron, head of healthcare, said the move will enable Crawford to improve its service.

Europe against back pain
The first European Week for Safety and Health is set to take place from October 16-22. The week aims to reduce back pain and related disorders across the continent, by increasing awareness and identifying solutions. Back pain and related disorders are estimated to lose the British economy £5 billion each year, with more than 119 million resulting sick days taken annually.
