Intech signs £1m deal
Intech Solutions has won a £1 million deal to supply Lloyd's agency Gammell Kershaw with underwriting support systems in the next millennium.

The products Intech will supply include Open Box and Open Energy products.
Open Box is a system which supports underwriting, outward reinsurance, claims, management information and regulatory reporting in a windows environment.

Open Energy contains details of over 10,000 fixed and mobile oil rigs, along with information on rig operators and owners. It also has a database of hurricane paths.

Gammell Kershaw, a wholly -owned subsidiary of Goshawk Insurance Holdings, has a combined stamp capacity of over £100m.

BIIBA Forum 2000 guide
The BIIBA Forum is sending out 8,000 copies of its Essential Millennium Survival Information for Insurance Brokers guide to brokers in the coming days.

The Forum includes a number of BIIBA brokers, CGU, AXA, Norwich Union, RSA, Zurich and the ABI.

The guide encompasses a 50-point checklist to ensure that key broker systems are covered.

Web site relaunch
Midas IT Services has relaunched its web site to include a job-search facility that allows users to search Midas' database for both contract and permanent positions.

Midas specialises in the provision of IT solutions including consultancy and general insurance packages, through to application design and development.
