Updating the Ward Evans logo for a more dynamic version, in keeping with the 21st century era of e-commerce, must have seemed a bright idea, but it has left its directors with a delicate dilemma.

Eight directors of the company's board have had the old logo tattooed on their arms as a mark of their dedication to the firm. Now the logo has changed, the directors face a difficult decision.

Do they go for laser surgery to get the offending tattoos removed, or have the new version tattooed on their opposite arms – or indeed somewhere else? No decision has yet been taken by the board, but Backchat will let his pals know of the outcome.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
