Bristol Water is to offer household and motor insurance to its one million customers.

The insurance services will be provided by Personal Insurance Plan through its panel of insurers and will be branded under the Bristol Water brand name.

John Deacon of Bristol Water said: “At Bristol Water we have worked hard to build an extremely loyal customer base, and by offering added-value services such as domestic insurance we aim to increase this loyalty and further enhance the relationship we have with our customers.”

Bristol Water claims its customers can make average savings of up to 40% by buying insurance through the company. The 40% discount is available to customers who purchase several insurance policies from Bristol Water.

James Cashmore, managing director of PIP, said: “The feel good factor from any premium savings or successfully handled claims will be atttributed to Bristol Water.”
