Legal & General Healthcare is delighted to have won this award, as it recognises the excellent customer service and value for money we offer, as well as the strong intermediary relationships we are building.

Since the launch of Legal & General's HealthCare business 10 years ago, it has always offered a comprehensive range of individual private medical insurance.

More recently, by working with specialist healthcare advisers we have developed a new modular approach to healthcare provision with Legal & General HealthCare Choices. Offering choice in the healthcare cover available, provides the greater flexibility in provision that the market needs, while remaining very affordable.

HealthCare Choices was launched at the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII) conference in June this year, with advisers impressed with the innovative concept and the intermediary support available.

This includes key features such as no claims discounts, well-being services for customers and a switch option.

The number of intermediaries that now transact health business with Legal & General has increased significantly since then and we thank them for the support they have and continue to show.

Chris Rolland, director of HealthCare at Legal & General, said, "Winning this award is brilliant news for everyone in the Legal & General HealthCare team, whose involvement, at every level has been so vital to this success."

Our focus on intermediaries as the key sales channel means that our understanding of their requirements is making it easier for advisers to do business with us.

Listening and responding to feedback is so important, plus this has meant that Legal & General has been able to improve and get those little things right."
