Insurance Times scooped two awards at the 2003 British Insurance Brokers’ Association journalist of the year awards yesterday.

Michael Faulkner and Tristan O’Carroll won the awards, beating off stiff competition from journalists on trade and national titles.

Features reporter Michael Faulkner won the most promising newcomer award.

Web reporter Tristan O’Carroll won the internet award.

Insurance Times editor Andy Cook said: “These awards are well deserved, especially when you consider that Michael
and Tristan have been with Insurance Times less than a year.

“I’m delighted to work with such a talented and enthusiastic editorial team.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
