Axa
Nick Sharpe has been appointed national broker development manager for the London region at Axa.
He will be based at Axa Insurance's Fenchurch Street offices and report to regional director Graham Coates.
He joins Axa from AIG where he was key account manager on AIG's corporate account.
CGU
Patrick Thiele has been appointed group director in charge of development at CGU.
He will report to group chief executive, Bob Scott and will be based in London.
Thiele was previously with St Paul.
Touchline
Tim Ablett has been appointed managing director of Touchline Services. Touchline is a direct insurer and a subsidiary of the French insurance giant, Groupama. He is also director responsible for personal insurances in Groupama UK.
LLOYD'S
Thompson Heath & Bond
Barry Harding has been appointed to the board of directors of motor fleet specialists Thompson Heath & Bond (THB). He has a long association with the THB Group as an independent motor broker. The company believes the appointment will allow THB to grow.
David Ulph, deputy chairman, said: “We are delighted Barry is bringing his expertise to the THB board.”
Crowe
Kim Fox has been appointed compliance officer to the actuarial and financial analysis team at Crowe Insurance Group. Also Michael Falcone has been appointed chief actuary and Nicolette Reiss has been appointed group financial analyst. Both Fox and Falcone have been appointed directors of Crowe Syndicate Management.

Carmichael
Charlotte Knowles has been appointed claims adjuster at Carmichael. She joined the company as a trainee and prior to that she worked at Cigna Reassurance and at Lloyd's. Paul Rolland, senior partner, said: “This is the first in a string of external and internal appointments.”

Alan Air has been appointed liability survey manager at Property & Casualty Services. He has 17 years experience including a year with the Health & Safety Executive where he wrote its national guidance literature on warehouse safety.
TECHNOLOGY
Eurobase
Richard Bruton has been appointed sales executive to the companies' market at software and consultancy supplier Eurobase. He is part of a team responsible for selling Synergy, the multi-channel client server underwriting system.
MISCELLANEOUS
Countrywide
Simon Trott has been appointed sales and marketing director of Countrywide. He has been with the company since 1990 most recently as national sales manager.
GISC
John Wardrop had been appointed to the GISC's Code working party which aims to formulate the principles, code and practices requirement for the new self-regulatory regime. Wardrop is a director of the Association of Insurance Intermediaries and Brokers (AiiB).
PWC
Four senior appointments have been made to the Dispute Analysis & Investigations (DA&I) insurance claims services team at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Chris Barrett was previously director of WBK International where he specialised in risk management and claims work for financial institutions and their insurers. His new job will see him developing DA&I in mainland Europe. Mike Bennett was formerly a senior director and loss adjuster for Miller Fisher group. He has been appointed director responsible for developing commercial claims support in the insurer and broker market.
Graeme Berry has been promoted to director responsible for specialist claims support development. Brian Gibson joins the Birmingham office from Crawford-THG.
Guardian iT
Roland Mann has been appointed UK managing director of Guardian iT, the international business continuity and disaster recovery specialist. He will be responsible for Guardian's existing UK business and its future development. Mann has been with the company for the last eight years and prior to his appointment he was sales director for the City markets division.
