Intech has won a contract worth millions of pounds over five years with marine and energy insurance giant Gard AS.

Intech director of sales and marketing Tony Collard said the deal, one of the largest in Intech's history, would be followed by a major deal in Ireland.

"We have signed a letter of intent with a commercial lines insurer, which is owned by a reinsurance company in Ireland.

"We also hope to work further with AXA after the success of the AXA fine art contract we won last year."

Gard has rolled out Intech Solutions' Open Marine product across all portfolios.

Gard is the second largest P&I club, accounting for 12.5% of the world's blue-water P&I market, with an annual gross premium of $500m, and an income sheet of $1.3bn.

Collard said he hoped to achieve growth of "20% per annum with an earnings before depreciation, interest and tax of 10% of turnover".

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
