Club Direct has launched an improved range of 12 annual travel policies, offering a selection of European, worldwide and winter sports covers.

Customers have a choice of three trip lengths and there are new age ranges for which annual policies are available.

The new Prima policy covers an unlimited number of trips worldwide, with maximum lengths of 31, 60 and 90 days.

The Prima Plus policy offers the same choices, but includes full cover for 24 days of winter sports, plus provision for mountain search and helicopter rescue.

A new category for travellers aged between 65 and 74 has been added and children under 23 who are still in full-time education are now included on family policies.

All policies carry £10m of cover for medical expenses, including provision for repatriation and air ambulance, where these are required.

A full range of cover for items such as baggage and personal belongings, money, passport replacement, delay and cancellation is also included, as well as £2m of cover for personal liability.

In addition, the policies now include provision for legal expenses claims against airlines, travel agents and tour operators if they are responsiblefor injuries or serious illness.

Club Direct managing director Brent Escott said: “Now, with the wider age range and a broader choice of options available, we are expecting to increase our share of the annual travel insurance market considerably this year.”
