Jelf Insurance Brokers has appointed former Towergate senior account executive James Balfour as schemes account executive to join the company’s new schemes and affinities team.

Balfour will be based in the company’s Guildford office and will be responsible for developing Jelf’s schemes and affinities portfolio and encouraging new business growth.

Balfour said: “I am delighted to be joining Jelf and can’t wait to get stuck into my new role.  In my position as schemes account executive, I aim to create and then grow a new business book whilst enhancing Jelf’s profile in the local area by using the market leading schemes it has available.”

Balfour will report to sales director - banking and affinity Rob Cockle.

Cockle said: “James is a welcomed addition to the team. With so much planned in the coming months for the Schemes and Affinities proposition, I am confident that James will play an essential role in helping us to raise the bar in the market and provide Jelf’s brand of personal and professional client service.”
