Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) has announced the resignation of its finance director, George Stuart-Clarke.
Stuart-Clarke will be replaced by Jim Rush, an Australian chartered accountant, who joins JLT from Jardine Matheson Group (the Asia-based conglomerate) where he was group treasurer.
JLT said Stuart-Clarke will stand down from the board but will remain a member of the group's executive committee and become responsible for special projects reporting directly to Dominic Burke, group chief executive.
Geoffrey Howe, chairman, said: "George has been with
the group since 1991, initially as a non-executive director and from 1994 as the group's finance director. During that time, George has played an important role
in the successful development of JLT."
He added: "Jim not only brings with him an existing knowledge of JLT but importantly he also has a very good understanding of business in the Asia Pacific region; a region of the world that today represents a significant part of the JLT Group."
