Home emergency response cover provides access to tradesmen 24/7

The Automobile Association (AA) is launching home emergency response cover in a campaign fronted by John Cleese.

Cleese features in television, print and online advertising for the campaign, which offers levels of cover for home emergencies including roof damage, burst water pipes, blocked drains, pest infestation and boiler breakdown.

The cover provides access to approved tradesmen and is available to both AA members and non-members.

Tom Stringer, head of AA Home Rescue, said: "John is world famous for playing characters who are seriously lacking when it comes to practical skills around the home. The situation he faces in the ad – and his unique response to it - perfectly demonstrates the strength of our new home emergency response service.

"We take away the hassle of finding a quality experienced tradesman at short notice, and at a time when you most need someone you can trust."
