Perhaps ABTA should be asking the Insurance Industry to simplify their wordings and embrace the concept of "Plain English". I recently looked at adding an annual travel policy to my household policy, this extension ran to over 40 pages and was so full of exclusions it wasn't worth the paper it was written on. Most people don't bother to insure because they have a perception that Insurers will try to wriggle out of paying a legitimate claim.
What an absolute shambles by Aviva. This has surely caused reputational damage after they have worked so hard to regain shareholders confidence. Whoever advised Mark Wilson this was a good idea should probably be working for Theresa May!
