Insurance adjusters, roaming among the rubble along the Mississippi coast in the wake of hurricane Katrina, have reported that they have never seen such massive destruction.

According to reports one adjuster said: "What everyone has been seeing on television is an understatement. I've been in the claims adjusting business more than 30 years and seen some of the worst catastrophes, but Hurricane Katrina is 100 times worse than any disaster I have encountered. There has been so much destruction it will take months to evaluate all the claims and years to rebuild."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
