Kelliher makes a number of senior appointments as it looks to expand its regional reach

Kelliher Insurance Group has made a number of senior appointments amidst a restructuring process in which it intends to expand its regional presence.

Dean Calaz and Neon Mavromatis have been appointed as directors of the Kerry London board, Ross Thompson re-joins Kerry London as head of professional indemnity after a stint at HCC; Mark Harcott is the new head of Kerry London Underwriting, and Giles Ham will lead the Surety Division in his new role as head of Surety after former Surety managing director, Andy Ray left the company to start his own underwriting business.

Following market consolidation, Kelliher-owned Kerry London remains as one of only a small number of sizeable independent brokers remaining in the City.

Group CEO, Imogen Coggan explains: “The market has reached an interesting crossroads, where it is now paramount for wholesale brokers to expand their customer bases and develop a regional network. The City can often be inward-looking, and it is important for brokers to remember that they have thousands of customers eager to place business with them across the UK.

“The group delivered on plans to create new strategic partnerships in 2017 including a new roofing scheme backed by ECIC and a new golf club scheme backed by Eaton Gate. We have successfully strengthened and broadened existing relationships and these new appointments will kick-start the process of diversifying the Group’s client base in 2018.”
