A Bill on uninsured driving and a draft Bill on corporate manslaughter were the key measures for the insurance industry announced in the Queen's Speech

The ABI and Biba welcomed the announcement of the Road Safety Bill, which will allow police to more effectively use motor insurance data and number plate recognition to identify uninsured drivers. Thompson Heath Bond has warned that fleet operators could be most at risk under the corporate manslaughter Bill, which could see directors held directly responsible for the actions of their employees on the road.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
