Lloyd's managing agency RJ Kiln has secured over £660m of capacity for the 2003 year of account, a rise of 25% on 2002.

Announcing the move, Kiln said Kiln Underwriting has increased its net involvement in the managed syndicates to £214m in 2003, up from £126m in 2002.

Kiln's gross involvement has now risen from £205m to £237m. The extra capacity will bring Kiln's total level to £800m.

The company added that the loss incurred as a result the September 11 terrorist attacks are in line with initial estimates.
