New finance boss from publishing background joins L&G
Legal and General (L&G) has named Dr Nigel Wilson as group chief financial officer from today replacing Andrew Palmer who retires from the board but will remain with the Company until the end of the year.
Wilson joins L&G from United Business Media, where he has been chief financial officer since 2001, as well as deputy chief executive officer since 2008.
Palmer has been a board member at L&G since 1996, and group director (finance) since 2001.
Wilson is a senior non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee at Halfords.
