Legal & General has secured a major affinity deal with a union.
GMB Financial Services will source household and buy-to-let insurance from Legal & General for GMB's 600,000 members.
The household cover includes £150 worth of home emergency cover as standard under the buildings insurance section.
Jerry Nelson, regional secretary of the Yorkshire and Northern Derbyshire region of the GMB, said: “Legal & General demonstrated the strongest product and service proposition, but above all an excellent understanding of our members' needs. We are looking forward to working with Legal & General to develop a partnership that delivers new and exceptional offers to our members.
