Additional brokers to be added in coming months

Layton Blackham Business Solutions has added two members to its Broker Partnership Programme.

The additions are Osbornes Insurances Oxford, from Thame, and JC Steels Insurance Brokers, from Chesterfield. Both are commercial brokers.

Layton Blackham maintained that the new partners would remain totally independent and would benefit from higher commission levels, as well as their buying power and expertise.

Jim Steels, Partner at J C Steels said: “This is the way forward for small brokers who wish to remain independent whilst having the backing of a large organisation.”

Mark Nicholl, director of Osbornes added: “Over a period of time we had been approached by numerous organisations seeking to purchase our brokerage.

"It was clear that the LBBS Partnership offered the best all round package, allowing us to remain in control of our business, without undue pressure, plus a range of enhancements and benefits that added value to our business.”

Duncan Pagan, LBBS operations manager, said he expected further growth for the business.

“We are delighted to be working with these two Partner Brokers and look forward to achieving the joint business plans that we have set. They will further strengthen our nationwide broker base, and we will be adding further brokers of similar calibre into our partnership programme in the very near future,” he said.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
