New aviation head to be appointed in 2013
Liberty International Underwriters (LIU) has hired Anthony Prokopiou and Daniel Fulco as senior aviation underwriters in its London team.
They will both have a global remit and will report on an interim basis to chief executive Sean Rocks pending the arrival of LIU’s new head of aviation early in the new year.
Prokopiou has 29 years’ experience of underwriting aviation business in the London market. His focus on general aviation business.
Fulco joins from a Lloyd’s aviation syndicate, where he has been for 14 years. He will focus on underwriting the airline account, particularly second- and third-tier airline business.
Rocks said: “Anthony and Daniel bring a wealth of experience and contacts to LIU and are welcome additions to our team. Their particular skills complement each others’ and their appointments emphasise LIU’s commitment to this sector and to continuing our tradition of high quality, specialist aviation underwriting.”
LIU, which is part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has been providing aviation cover since 1993 with a focus on small- to medium-sized airlines, start-up operations, general aviation and helicopters.
