While rates in some classes of business rocket skyward, there is still one part of the insurance industry that is living in the past where rates are concerned - the personal accident (PA) market.
At a recent seminar, insurers were amused to find that the rating sheets they were currently using were still the same as those used 20 years ago. Backchat wonders whether there is locked away in a guarded vault an original rating sheet on which all PA underwriters base their pricing.
