Swinglehurst confirmed this week that it had placed ¤150m (£100m) worth of property cover on behalf of the Athens 2004 Olympic Organising Committee (ATHOC).

A spokesman for the Lloyd's broker said the cover had been placed in Lloyd's and London market.

The policy, which insures moveable property including computers and merchandise, has a ¤100m (£66m) per location limit, with an aggregate limit of ¤150m (£100m).

Earlier this year, Swinglehurst placed ¤200m (£133m) of third party liability cover on behalf of ATHOC.
