Underwriters’ association fills vacancies

The Lloyd’s Market Association, which represents underwriters interests at Lloyd’s, has nominated four new members to its board.

Brit global markets chief executive Matthew Wilson, Cathedral Underwriting managing director Lawrence Holder, Markel Syndicate Management claims director Stuart Willoughby and Beazley group underwriting committee chairman Neil Maidment have been nominated for four vacant positions.

As the number of nominations does not exceed the number of vacancies, a ballot will not be needed and the nominated members will be elected as LMA directors after the close of the annual general meeting on 24 May.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
