Towergate head of legal and secretariat to move firms

Lockton has hired Towergate Insurance head of legal and secretariat Sam Clark as its new general counsel.

Lockton chief executive Mike Hammond said: “We are delighted that Sam is joining the team. His wealth of experience in the intermediary space – advising on transactions, commercial activities and all aspects of broking operations – will be invaluable to Lockton.”

Towergate Insurance group chief executive Mark Hodges said: “Sam has developed his legal career over 10 years with us. We would like to thank him for his valued contribution and wish him well for the future.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
