RBS Insurance - belle of the ball or one of the ugly sisters? Well it depends whom you believe.

Backchat hears the company pulled the plug on the annual Churchill charity ball. Not policy, it said.

Ex-Churchill boss and current member of RBSI board Martin Long hit back by organising one of his own. Same system, £25 per head with all the money going to Children with Leukaemia, only this time Martin Long not Churchill picked up the bill (excellent party, Martin, by all accounts).

But no, says RBSI, that was a private affair with no link to the company and RBSI is thinking about holding its own affair later in the year.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
