Rating agency A.M. Best has affirmed the A (excellent) financial strength rating of Macau Insurance Company.

The agency said the rating "reflects the company's strong capitalization, continuing improvement in market profile and excellent operating performance in its core non-life operations."

It also noted that while the life subsidiary has not contributed to bottom line results, its bancassurance strategy will generate further growth opportunities in the near future.

Finally, A.M. Best said the rating also considers the parental support from Banco Commercial de Portugues (BCP), a leading Portuguese insurance and banking group.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
