Lloyd's broker Marine Aviation & General (MAG) has signed up to Eurobase's SmartSourcing IT services.

SmartSourcing, which cost MAG £20,000, will involve the updating of the broker's PC and server infrastructure in order to increase the capacity and speed of MAG's IT systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, Eurobase will also provide MAG with an IT trouble-shooting support service.

MAG office manager Andy Garner said: "The rapid response we get from Eurobase is excellent and this is matched by the level of industry knowledge Eurobase provides about international insurance."

Last month, Eurobase signed up Lloyd's broker Humphreys Haggas Sutton to SmartSourcing.

Earlier this year, the OFT ruled that there was no evidence to support Eurobase's assertion that rival systems provider Xchanging was abusing its market position by tendering aggressively for contracts.
