The industry's top brokers acted on behalf of the Port of New York, the client responsible for New York's financial centre which was attacked by terrorists yesterday.

Brokers Aon, Marsh, Willis and Heath Lambert were all involved in broking the district. Willis broked the districts property, Aon broked the construction, and Marsh and Heath Lambert broked the liability insurance. It is believed that Heath Lambert helped broke certain construction policies with Aon.

Reports so far also suggest that the US Pentagon building in Washington was uninsured and the US government will foot the bill.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
