Neil Flatman to oversee Markel’s entire property portfolio
Markel International has appointed Neil Flatman to head up its non-marine property division as managing director.
Flatman will oversee Markel’s entire property portfolio and manage the well-established team.
Gerry Albanese, President and Chief Operating Officer of Markel International, said: “We are pleased to be welcoming Neil on board and feel confident that he will be the driving force of the growth and development of the existing Non-Marine Property team.”
Flatman said: “I am delighted to be joining Markel International and look forward to contributing to the continued growth and development of the non-marine property division”.
Neil has 23 years of experience in the insurance industry and joins Markel from QBE where he most recently held the position of head of European and international property.
He also held positions at Cigna and AIG before joining QBE in 1999 writing major property accounts.
