Leicester based broker Marsh & Co has joined forces with the newly formed Brokerbility Group, which aims to become a top ten independent UK broker.
Marsh & Co said it will further strengthen the Brokerbility Group, which announced earlier this month the joining of Leicester's Brett and Randall, Derby's Franklands and Nottingham's Hawthorne Parkes.
Under a share exchange mechanism, Marsh & Co will have an equity interest in the Group, which in turn has a sizeable equity interest in Marsh & Co.
Marsh & Co director and shareholder Peter Jackaman will head the division, while Alan Marsh and Rob Marsh will continue as shareholders and directors. The company will continue to trade under its own brand.
Brokerbility companies now have a combined staff of over 100 operating from five offices and £35m GWP.
The company expects to announce three further additions to the group before the spring. Brokerbility predicted it would achieve £90m GWP within three months rather than 12 months as originally forecast.
