Kevin Richards takes up the newly-created role at Marsh

Marsh has appointed Kevin Richards to the newly created role of global head of cyber risk consulting.

In this new role Richards will be responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of Marsh’s cyber risk consulting business worldwide.

He will closely work with its regional and local cyber risk experts as well as Marsh’s cyber insurance brokerage teams.

He joins Marsh from Accenture where he most recently led its North America Security Practice and its Global Security Strategy & Risk Practice.

He has previously been inducted into the Information System Security Association (ISSA) Hall of Fame for his contributions to the information security community and the security profession.

Vital role

Richards added: “The risk and insurance sector has a vital role to play in enabling firms to address and manage their cyber risks effectively.

“I’m delighted to be leading Marsh Risk Consulting’s strong global team of experts as we help organisations develop a comprehensive risk management framework and improve their cyber resilience.”

Richards will be based in Chicago and report to Michael Poulos, president of Marsh Risk Consulting and global head of client advisory services.
