Marsh said that it is willing to assist the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) in relation to its investigation into the Law Society of Scotland master policy for professional indemnity (PI) cover.
The OFT is investigating the master policy following complaints from consumers that the policy contravenes the Competition Act.
"The OFT has grounds to suspect a breach of the Competition Act," an OFT statement said.
Marsh UK brokes the policy on behalf of the Law Society.
"We have not received any inquiries from the OFT regarding its investigation [into the policy], but should we do so we would of course be happy to work with them in the course of their review," Marsh said in a statement.
The Law Society of Scotland said it had received a letter from the OFT last year saying their could be an investigation "following complaints about the operation of the master policy".
