Medicals Direct has acquired the medico-legal and clinics businesses of The Lancer Group as part of its strategy to increase its activities in the general insurance, life assurance and legal industries.
Medicals Direct said the medico-legal business, which had a turnover of £1.3m in the year to December 2000, will provide its insurance and legal customers with a greater pool of expertise.
The group said it would continue to expand the current activities of the clinics business, which had a turnover of more than £200,000 last year.
