Medico-Legal Reporting (MLR), a provider of legal/medical reports, has been appointed as a preferred supplier by the Motor Insurers' Bureau (MIB).
MLR, which sources 60,000 medical reports a year, will also operate a direct billing arrangement with MIB.
The arrangement sees medical reports sent directly to the claimant's solicitor and the invoice for the report directly to the MIB for payment.
MLR director, Jeremy Ellison, said: “The provision of medical reports represents a significant amount of spend and exposure for MIB. Our sector knowledge and experience together with our high service standards will help to create efficiencies and savings from settling cases much more quickly.”
MLR is one of two suppliers appointed for the provision of medical evidence.
