Freddie Mercury (left) is top of the insurance pops, according to Norwich Union (NU).

The insurer has been giving front-line broking staff a free CD or DVD of their choice for every five personal lines policies they sell.

NU gave away 132 CDs within the first month of promotion, with Queen - Platinum Collection outstripping Now 52 and Enrique Inglesias to go into the number one spot.

Kylie Minogue, Oasis, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Aerosmith, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ashanti and Darren Hayes also rocked the brokers' worlds.

Lord of the Rings, Training Day and Harry Potter took the first three spots on the hot DVD list.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
