Miller Fisher's Irish operation will launch an outsourcing arm, Miller Farrell Solutions, on 1 July, following three big new business wins.

Miller Farrell's three-year contract to provide insurer Eagle Star with a call centre, claims signposting and support services will coincide with the formal launch of the outsourcing arm.

Miller Farrell was also one of two loss adjusters to remain on AXA's Irish panel, which the insurer cut in half after a review by its new procurement manager Ann Flynn.

"It was seen that the size of our business didn't justify having five loss adjusters," a spokesman said.

The spokesman said AXA had also introduced Ireland's first comprehensive tendering process for loss adjusters.

Miller Farrell's travel division was appointed claims handlers for KMT Travel Insurance Services and for Primary Underwriting's Worldchoice Group travel insurance product.

Miller Fisher chief executive Malcolm Hughes said the new "high profile, blue chip" business was great news for the group.

He said the launch of Miller Farrell Solutions would be an opportunity for growth.
