The professional body for motor engineer assessors is considering its first application for bulk membership under a programme to raise standards.
More than 60 staff from Miller Sheppard based in Sevenoaks, Kent, are due to take the Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors' oral exam early next year. The first block membership application in its 60-year history.
David Cresswell, managing director of Miller Sheppard, said the move was in response to its clients' demands for consistent and high quality service.
Graham Codling, IAEA president, welcomed Miller Sheppard's application, and said its staff would benefit from formal recognition of their skills.
