Mike Webb, Mondial Assistance UK

Mondial Assistance UK chief executive Mike Webb has moved to non-executive chairman.

Serge Corel, currently managing director of the UK business, will take over as chief executive.

Mondial said by becoming non-executive chairman, Webb, who has been with the company for 21 years, will continue to be actively involved in the UK company’s sales activity.

Corel will take over running of Mondial Assistance UK in February 2012. He joined the group in 1997 as finance director.

He will head the UK company’s executive board, which remains unchanged.

“I am very much looking forward to this exciting new role, building on my extensive experience of the Mondial Assistance business over the last 19 years”, said Corel.

“More and more brands are looking to extend their core offerings in a bid to increase the lifetime value of their customer relationships and we have created a market leading proposition that meets this need.

“I feel tremendously honoured to continue the great work that Mike Webb has done over the last two decades and feel very confident that we have the right team in place to achieve on-going success.”

Webb added: “I am very proud of the part that I have played over the last 21 years.”
