Appoints Aimee Charlwood as business development manager to expand travel insurance on a pan-European scale

Mondial UK continues to invest in the affinity, financial and corporate sector with the appointment of Aimee Charlwood as business development manager.

Charlwood joined Mondial four years ago in the sales team and was appointed business development executive for the automotive team in 2005. In this role she was behind the co-ordination of new business development and growth.

In her new position, Charlwood will be account manager responsible for the easyJet travel insurance account. She will take the lead to see this e-Commerce account expand to offer travel insurance in 16 countries on a pan-European scale exploring new channels and product developments.

Charlwood commented: “This is an exciting opportunity for me to use my experience to exploit new business opportunities by developing affinity partnerships. Mondial’s services bring appreciable value to an existing product offered by airlines, making it attractive to the Pan-European market. Working with a high-volume airline carrier like easyJet allows us to explore in-depth market trends and consumer patterns on a Pan-European level.”

Steve Hook, director of corporate & travel at Mondial UK, said: “This appointment further demonstrates our commitment to developing people from within. Aimee brings both an in-depth knowledge of the business to this position and a level of enthusiasm which will further help us develop our partnership with easyJet. This appointment is an illustration of Mondial’s continued focus on business growth across Europe, maintaining our position as a global player.”
