The majority of insurance claims in New Orleans relating to hurricane Katrina may be commercial, according to analysts at Moody's.
Jeff Berg, a Moody's analyst in New York who specializes in nonlife reinsurance, said: "[losses] will have a significant impact on the property/casualty industry" and added that losses are estimated in the range of $40bn to $60bn.
