Moody's has downgraded the B Average performance rating, under review for possible downgrade, of Advent Underwriting to B- Below Average.
Moody's said the decision came in light of concerns over risk management at Advent, with the syndicate's Hurricane Katrina loss being significantly outside expectations for a
loss event of this magnitude.
The ratings agency said a stable outlook has been assigned to the rating.
