AA Insurance proudly boasts that it raised more than £250,000 for Comic Relief.
However, closer inspection revealed that this was because its Cardiff call centre was used to take calls from people making Comic Relief donations.
The £250,000 total was taken by call operatives working for both AA Insurance and its neighbouring British Gas call centre.
Nonetheless, Backchat tips his hat to AA staff for their sterling work on the phones and for raising another £2,000 from raffles and paying to dress down on Friday.
